Creating your common ground
This workshop is where the common realm is built, not brick by brick, but decision by decision. We will lead the project in establishing the goals and priorities for the common house, where most of the common facilities and amenities.
This community-building experience presents a unique opportunity to deeply understand and embrace shared values. By engaging with one another, we can identify the principles that matter most to the group and discover the most effective ways to put these values into action. Our goal is to create communal spaces and facilities that not only meet group desires for a practical, convenient, economical, and lifestyle but also stimulate a sense of belonging among residents. The specific guidelines we agree upon during this journey will serve as a vital foundation for future design plans.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have a created a detailed and prioritized list of communal spaces and facilities meeting group desires for their cohousing project. With that list we will provide a Program Write Up and Preliminary Common House Plan ready to take to the next stages of building your cohousing community.
