Value and Key Outcomes: This workshop is the opportunity to reimagine the possibilities of senior housing through a concept that honors seniors. By discovering and being able to share the advantages of community, participants will learn effective tools, which will enhance their current profession or help to start on a new path. Through cohousing, participants can be instrumental in recreating the vibrant small town community life that today’s seniors truly want. This method offers its residents community, security, and a healthy lifestyle that enables them to successfully age in place.

This course is for: This instructional workshop is geared directly to professionals and others interested in facilitating future workshops with seniors to help them discover the realities and possibilities of aging in place with cohousing.

By the end of this course, participants will become a certified facilitator in empowering seniors to age in the right place successfully—and making it the right place—so they are thriving in place, not just surviving in place. Learn how to start a new affordable senior cohousing, as well as understand the economics of senior living choices and take charge of co-care, co-healing, and much more!
